Schedule Calculate Absence Accruals For Employee Population

To schedule the calculation of absence accruals for an employee population in Oracle Fusion, you use the Scheduled Processes feature to run the “Calculate Accruals and Balances” process. This process calculates the accruals based on the absence plans configured for employees.

Here’s how to schedule the calculation of absence accruals for an employee population:

1. Navigate to Scheduled Processes

  • From the Home Page, click on the Navigator icon (hamburger menu) in the top-left corner.
  • Under the Tools section, select Scheduled Processes.

2. Submit a New Process

  • In the Scheduled Processes page, click on the Schedule New Process button.

3. Search for the Process

  • In the Name field, search for the process titled Calculate Accruals and Balances for Absence Plans.
  • Select this process from the search results and click OK.

4. Define Parameters for the Accrual Calculation

After selecting the process, you’ll need to define specific parameters:

  • Effective Date: Set the date on which you want the accrual calculation to take effect. This is typically the current date, but you can schedule it for any past or future date.
  • Person Selection Rule: Choose a rule to define which employees will be included in the calculation (e.g., All Workers, Specific Population).
  • Payroll Relationship Group: If you want to run the accrual calculation for a specific group of employees, you can define a Payroll Relationship Group. This allows you to segment the employee population based on payroll, location, or other group criteria.
  • Process Configuration Group (optional): Select a configuration group if you have different configurations for different types of employee populations.
  • Include Adjustments: Specify whether you want to include any adjustments made to the accrual balance manually.
  • Run Type: Select the type of accrual run (e.g., Initial Run, Recurring Run).

5. Schedule the Process

  • After setting up the parameters, you can define when and how often this process should run:
    • As Soon As Possible: This will run the process immediately.
    • On a Schedule: Choose this option if you want to run it at a specific time or on a recurring basis.
    • Recurrence: If you want this process to run periodically (e.g., monthly or annually), set up the recurrence by selecting the start date, frequency (daily, weekly, monthly), and end date, if applicable.

6. Submit the Process

  • Once you’ve configured the scheduling options, click Submit to schedule the calculation of absence accruals.

7. Monitor the Process

  • After submitting the process, it will appear in the Scheduled Processes page, where you can monitor its status.
  • You can check the status (e.g., Running, Completed) to ensure the process runs successfully.
  • If the process fails or encounters any issues, check the logs for troubleshooting.

8. Review Results

  • Once the process completes, you can review the updated absence accruals by navigating to the Absence Records of employees, or by running reports to validate the new balances.

By scheduling the accrual calculation, you ensure that employees’ leave balances are updated automatically based on the configured accrual rules in Oracle Fusion. You can also set this up as a recurring process to automatically update accruals on a regular schedule.
