Manage Job Requisitions

Managing job requisitions in Oracle Recruiting Cloud involves creating, updating, tracking, and closing requisitions as well as monitoring the hiring process. As a recruiter or HR specialist, you can use the following steps to efficiently manage job requisitions in Oracle HCM Cloud.

Steps to Manage Job Requisitions:

1. Log in to Oracle HCM Cloud:

  • Use your credentials to access the system, and ensure you have the necessary permissions (typically a recruiter or HR specialist role).

2. Navigate to Recruiting:

  • From the homepage, click on “My Client Groups”, then select “Recruiting” or “Hiring”.
  • This will bring you to the Recruiting Dashboard, where you can manage requisitions, candidates, and job postings.

3. Search for Existing Requisitions:

  • Use the Job Requisitions tab or section to search for and view all job requisitions.
  • You can filter requisitions by job title, requisition number, status, location, hiring manager, or date posted.

4. Create a New Job Requisition:

  • If you need to create a new job requisition, click on “Create Requisition”.
    • Fill in the required details, such as:
      • Job Title
      • Location
      • Hiring Manager
      • Job Description
      • Qualifications (skills, experience, certifications)
      • Compensation Details (salary, benefits)
      • Number of Positions and Target Hire Date
    • Submit the requisition for approval if necessary.

5. Update a Job Requisition:

  • To modify an existing requisition, search for the requisition and open it.
  • Click on the Edit button and update details such as the job description, number of openings, location, or hiring manager.
  • After making updates, click Save or Submit. Some changes may require re-approval depending on your organization’s workflow.

6. Monitor Job Requisitions:

  • Use the Job Requisition Dashboard to monitor the status of each requisition.
    • View requisitions that are Open, Closed, On Hold, or Cancelled.
    • Track candidate applications under each requisition.
    • Monitor progress through various stages such as screening, interviewing, and offer.

7. Track Candidate Pipelines:

  • For each requisition, you can track how many candidates have applied, their status, and where they are in the recruiting process.
  • Filter candidates by status (e.g., new applications, under review, interviewing, offered, or rejected).
  • Take actions such as advancing candidates, rejecting applicants, or moving them to other requisitions if needed.

8. Close a Job Requisition:

  • Once a requisition is filled or the position is no longer needed, you can close the requisition.
    • Navigate to the requisition and select the Close option.
    • This will stop further candidate applications and change the requisition status to Closed.

9. Put a Requisition on Hold or Cancel:

  • If hiring needs are delayed, you can put a requisition on hold.
  • For positions that are no longer required, you can cancel the requisition.
    • Putting a requisition on hold temporarily pauses the recruitment process, whereas cancellation terminates it permanently.

10. Republish or Update Job Postings:

  • If you need to update the job posting details or re-advertise the requisition, you can republish it.
  • Make the necessary changes to the job description or requirements, and select Republish to update the job on internal or external job boards.

11. Generate Reports and Analytics:

  • Use Oracle’s built-in analytics to generate reports on requisition activity, time-to-fill, source of hire, and candidate diversity.
  • You can track metrics to assess recruitment efficiency and make data-driven decisions.

12. Collaborate with Hiring Managers:

  • Ensure smooth communication with hiring managers by keeping them informed of requisition status and candidate progress.
  • Use the system’s collaboration tools to share updates, notes, and feedback.

Key Features of Job Requisition Management:

  • Job Requisition Creation and Approval Workflow: Create requisitions and submit them for approval through Oracle’s automated workflows.
  • Candidate Application Tracking: Monitor the candidate pipeline and track progress at each stage.
  • Posting Management: Control how and where job postings are advertised (internal, external, job boards).
  • Requisition Status Updates: Easily update requisition statuses to reflect real-time changes in hiring needs (Open, Closed, On Hold).

Notes:

  • Your ability to manage job requisitions may depend on your specific role and permissions within Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Workflow approvals and customizations may vary depending on your organization’s configurations.

This process helps you maintain an organized and effective approach to managing job requisitions and tracking hiring progress.
