Goal Management- Allocate Weights To Goal Plan

Allocate Weights to the Goal Plans

Allocate weight to each goal plan included in the goal plan set so the sum of weights of all goal plans is 100, if enabled. A goal plan weight indicates the relative importance of each goal plan. Other Oracle Fusion Applications products can consume these weights in their processes. For example, the incentive compensation plan can use these weights and the worker’s actual achievement of the goal objectives, to calculate the worker’s incentive pay.

Steps to Allocate Weights to a Goal Plan:

1. Log in to Oracle Cloud

  • Use your credentials as an HR administrator or manager with access to goal management.

2. Navigate to Goal Management

  • From the Home page, click on the Navigator menu.
  • Under the My Client Groups section, click on Goals.

3. Access Manage Goal Plans

  • In the Goal Management section, click on Manage Goal Plans.
  • This area allows you to create, edit, and manage goal plans for employees or teams.

4. Search for the Goal Plan

  • Use the search filters to find the goal plan for which you want to allocate weights. You can search using:
    • Employee Name or ID (if it’s a plan for an individual).
    • Goal Plan Name (e.g., Annual Goal Plan 2024).
    • Department or Business Unit.
  • After entering the criteria, click Search.

5. Select the Goal Plan

  • From the search results, select the relevant goal plan.
  • Once the plan is open, you will see a list of the individual goals included in the plan.

6. Allocate Weights to Individual Goals

  • Next to each goal, you will see a field for Weight. This is where you can assign a percentage to represent the relative importance of each goal within the plan.
  • For example, if there are 5 goals in the plan, you can allocate:
    • Goal 1: 30%
    • Goal 2: 20%
    • Goal 3: 15%
    • Goal 4: 25%
    • Goal 5: 10%
  • Make sure that the total weight across all goals adds up to 100%.

7. Save the Changes

  • After allocating the weights, click Save or Submit to confirm the changes.
  • The system will validate the weights to ensure that they add up to 100%. If not, it will prompt you to correct the values.
