In Oracle Cloud Goal Management, sharing goals with others allows collaboration and visibility among team members, managers, or across departments. Sharing goals helps ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives and promotes teamwork.

Steps to Share Goals with Others:

  • Use your employee or administrator credentials to access Oracle Cloud.

2. Navigate to Goal Management

  • From the Navigator menu, go to My Client Groups and select “Goal Management” or “Goals”.
  • Alternatively, search for “Manage Goals” in the search bar.

3. Access Your Goals

  • Under the Goal Management section, click on My Goals if you’re an employee or Manage Goals if you’re an administrator looking at others’ goals.

  • This option allows you to share the goal with other individuals or teams.

6. Select People to Share With

  • Once you click on Share Goal, you’ll be prompted to search for and select the individuals or teams you want to share the goal with. You can share goals with:
    • Managers: For visibility into direct reports’ progress.
    • Peers or Team Members: For collaboration on team goals.
    • Departments: To align goals across larger groups or units.

7. Set Sharing Permissions

  • Define the permissions for shared users. These permissions might include:
    • View Only: The shared person can view the goal but cannot modify it.
    • Edit Permissions: The person can edit the goal, update progress, or add comments.
    • Comment Access: Allows individuals to add comments or feedback without editing the goal itself.

8. Send Notification (Optional)

  • You can choose to notify the people with whom you’ve shared the goal. If enabled, they will receive a notification via email or within Oracle Cloud that a goal has been shared with them.

9. Review Shared Goals

  • After sharing, review the list of people who have access to the goal by revisiting the Share Goal section.
  • If necessary, you can modify or revoke sharing permissions later.
