Goal Management- Share Goals With Organization

In Oracle Cloud Goal Management, sharing goals with the entire organization allows you to promote alignment across all levels and ensure that everyone works toward common objectives. This is especially useful for organization-wide initiatives, strategic goals, or corporate performance targets.

Steps to Share Goals with the Entire Organization:

1. Log in to Oracle Cloud

  • Use your administrator credentials to access Oracle Cloud.

2. Navigate to Goal Management

  • From the Navigator menu, go to My Client Groups and select “Goal Management” or “Goals”.
  • Alternatively, search for “Manage Goals” in the search bar.

3. Access the Goal Library or Create a New Goal

  • If the goal you want to share already exists, open the Goal Library to find the goal.
  • If you need to create a new organization-wide goal, click on Create Goal and define the goal’s name, description, category, and any other relevant information (such as due dates, progress metrics, etc.).

4. Select the Goal to Share

  • Locate the specific goal you want to share with the organization and click on its name to view the details.

5. Click the Share Option

  • In the goal details page, look for the option to “Share Goal” or “Share with Others”.
  • This option allows you to share the goal, not just with individuals or teams, but also across the entire organization.

6. Choose Organization as the Sharing Group

  • When prompted to choose who you want to share the goal with, select Organization or Entire Organization.
  • This will make the goal visible to all employees in the company.

7. Set Permissions for Organization

  • Define the permissions for organizational access:
    • View Only: All employees will be able to see the goal, but they won’t be able to edit it.
    • Edit Permissions (for specific roles or groups): Certain individuals or groups (e.g., managers, team leads) may be given the ability to edit or track progress on behalf of the organization.
    • Comment Access: Employees can provide feedback or comments on the goal.

8. Send Notifications to Employees

  • You can choose to send a notification to employees about the new shared goal. This ensures that the goal is communicated and visible in their Oracle Cloud accounts.
  • Employees will receive an email or a notification within Oracle Cloud about the new goal.

9. Monitor the Shared Goal

  • Once the goal is shared, you can monitor its progress and see how different departments or teams contribute to the goal’s achievement.
  • Employees will be able to view and track the goal’s progress based on their role and permissions.

10. Revoke or Modify Sharing Permissions

  • If you need to make changes to the goal’s visibility or permissions, go back to the goal details and adjust the sharing settings.
  • You can revoke sharing with the organization or modify who has editing and viewing access.

Use Cases for Sharing Goals with the Organization:

  • Company-wide Strategic Initiatives: When rolling out company-wide goals such as revenue targets, customer satisfaction improvements, or new strategic objectives.
  • Cultural or Corporate Values: Share goals related to corporate culture, diversity, sustainability, or other values-driven initiatives.
  • Annual Performance Goals: When setting performance goals for the entire organization, such as increasing efficiency, improving collaboration, or launching a new product line.

Summary:

  • Access the goal through Goal Management, then select “Share Goal” and choose the Organization as the sharing group.
  • Define appropriate permissions (view, edit, or comment).
  • Notify employees so they are aware of the shared goal.
  • Monitor progress and adjust permissions if needed.

This feature allows for consistent communication and alignment of key objectives across the entire organization, ensuring everyone is aware of and working toward the same strategic goals.
