Managing Review Periods in Oracle Cloud Goal Management is critical for ensuring that employee goals are evaluated at the right times during performance cycles. Review periods define when goals should be reviewed, assessed, and aligned with performance appraisals.
Steps to Manage Review Periods:
1. Log in to Oracle Cloud
- Use your administrator credentials to log in to Oracle Cloud.
2. Navigate to Goal Management
- From the Navigator menu, go to My Client Groups and select “Goal Management”.
- You can also search for “Manage Review Periods” in the search bar.
3. Access Review Periods
- In the Goal Management section, select Manage Review Periods.
- This will take you to the page where all existing review periods are listed, including active, past, and upcoming periods.
4. Create a New Review Period (Optional)
- If you need to set up a new review period, click the Create button.
- Enter the following information for the new review period:
- Name: Provide a descriptive name for the review period (e.g., 2024 Mid-Year Review or 2024 Annual Review).
- Start and End Dates: Define the time frame during which the review will take place.
- Description: Optionally, add a description to give context to the review period.
5. Edit an Existing Review Period
- If you want to manage an existing review period, select the review period from the list.
- Click Edit to modify the details.
- You can change the name, adjust the start and end dates, or update any additional descriptions.
6. Assign Review Period to Goals
- After creating or editing a review period, you can assign it to specific goals. This ensures that goals are evaluated during the correct performance cycle.
- In the Manage Goals section, assign the appropriate Review Period to each goal.
- Employees and managers will then be prompted to review these goals within the assigned review period.
7. Track Progress and Status
- Throughout the review period, you can track the progress of goal reviews. This might include monitoring how many employees have submitted their reviews, how many goals have been updated, and overall performance ratings.
- Use the Track Status feature to get a summary of review period progress across the organization.
8. Close a Review Period
- Once a review period has ended, you can close the review period to prevent further goal edits or updates.
- This will lock the period and finalize the performance evaluation for that cycle.
- Ensure all goals have been reviewed and all necessary actions are complete before closing the period.
9. Archive or Reactivate Review Periods (Optional)
- You can archive past review periods for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
- If needed, you can also reactivate a review period to allow for adjustments or late submissions.
Summary:
- Manage review periods by navigating to Goal Management and selecting Manage Review Periods.
- Create or edit review periods by setting start and end dates, assigning them to goals, and tracking review progress.
- Ensure goals are reviewed within the correct time frame by assigning goals to the appropriate review periods and closing periods once the evaluations are complete.
