As an HR specialist can change the due date of any task in the performance document.
Based on the number of performance documents you want to update, use these options:
- Use the Change Due Date option in the Actions menu on the Performance Documents page: This allows you to change the due dates for a maximum of 200 selected performance documents.
- Use Change Task Due Dates action in the Process Mass Actions for Performance Documents task: This allows you to mass change the due dates by selecting the population and not individual performance documents.
After you select a performance document, you can enter a revised due date for any of the available tasks. You can then choose to preview the change and process later or submit the changes for processing immediately.
-
You can edit the due date of any task within a performance document that isn’t completed or canceled.
- You can search for any performance documents and workers to whom you have access.
- You can’t search for your own performance documents.
- You can use the ORA_HRA_MASS_UPD_TASK_REASON lookup to list reasons that HR specialists can choose when changing the due date.
In Oracle Cloud Performance Management, changing the due date for a Performance Document is essential when deadlines need to be extended or adjusted due to organizational changes, employee availability, or shifting priorities.
Here’s how you can change the due date for a performance document task:
Steps to Change the Performance Document Due Date:
1. Log in to Oracle Cloud
- Use your administrator or performance management specialist credentials.
2. Navigate to Performance Management
- From the Home page, click on the Navigator menu.
- Under the My Client Groups section, click on Performance.
3. Access Manage Performance Documents
- In the Performance area, click on Manage Performance Documents.
- This section allows you to view and manage active performance documents for employees or the organization.
4. Select the Relevant Performance Process
- In the Manage Performance Documents area, select the performance process (e.g., Annual Review 2024).
- Find the specific performance document that needs its due date adjusted.
5. Open the Performance Document for Editing
- Click on the Edit or Actions button next to the performance document you want to modify.
- Select Edit Performance Template or Edit Process to access the configuration of the document.
6. Change the Due Date for the Task
- In the performance document setup, locate the section that manages task deadlines or due dates.
- You will see various tasks associated with the performance document, such as:
- Goal Setting
- Self-Evaluation
- Manager Evaluation
- Final Approval
- Click on the specific task whose due date needs to be changed.
- Enter the new due date for that task in the appropriate field.
7. Save Changes
- After updating the due date, click Save or Submit to apply the changes.
- The new due date will now be reflected in the performance document, and the employees or managers involved will see the updated deadline.
8. Notify Employees and Managers (Optional)
- Depending on your organization’s settings, Oracle Cloud may automatically notify affected users of the new due date.
- You can also manually communicate the deadline extension by sending an email or an internal announcement.
9. Review and Adjust Other Tasks (Optional)
- If the due date change affects other tasks (e.g., if a self-evaluation is extended, the manager’s evaluation may also need more time), adjust the deadlines for other related tasks to ensure a smooth workflow.
10. Monitor the Performance Process
- Continue to monitor the performance process through the Manage Performance Documents section to ensure the tasks are completed by the new deadlines.
Example of Due Date Changes:
- Self-Evaluation Deadline: Originally due on November 30, now extended to December 15.
- Manager Evaluation Deadline: Adjusted from December 10 to December 20 to accommodate the new self-evaluation deadline.
Summary:
- Navigate to Manage Performance Documents and open the relevant performance document.
- Modify the due date for a specific task in the performance process.
- Save the changes, and notify employees or managers about the new deadline.
- Review other tasks if necessary to ensure a smooth workflow.
Changing the due date ensures that performance evaluations can be completed on time without rushing or missing critical inputs.
