Create A Job

To create a job under Workforce Management in Oracle Fusion, follow these steps:

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Login to Oracle Fusion:

    • Navigate to the Oracle Fusion application and log in using your credentials.
  2. Navigate to Workforce Structures:

    • From the Home screen, click on the Navigator (menu icon at the top-left).
    • Go to My Workforce > Workforce Structures.
  3. Select Jobs:

    • Under the Workforce Structures page, select the Jobs task.
    • You will be taken to the Manage Jobs page.
  4. Create a New Job:

    • Click the Add (+) icon to create a new job.
  5. Enter Job Details:

    • Fill out the required details for the job. Here are some common fields:
      • Name: Provide the job title (e.g., Software Engineer, Marketing Analyst).
      • Code: Enter a unique code for the job.
      • Effective Start Date: Set the date from which the job becomes effective.
      • Active: Ensure the job is marked as active if it is to be used immediately.
      • Job Family: Assign the job to a relevant job family (e.g., IT, HR, Finance).
      • Job Function: Define the function of the job.
      • Job Description: Provide a summary of the job responsibilities.
  6. Job Parameters:

    • Configure other optional parameters based on your organizational needs:
      • Full Time / Part Time: Indicate whether the job is full-time or part-time.
      • Regular / Temporary: Specify whether the job is regular or temporary.
      • Grades: Attach grade(s) to the job if applicable.
  7. Save the Job:

    • After entering all necessary details, click Save or Submit to create the job.
  8. Validate the Job Creation:

    • After saving, review the job to ensure all information has been entered correctly.
    • The new job should now appear in the list of available jobs under Workforce Structures.

Additional Considerations

  • Job Framework Setup: Ensure that job frameworks such as grade ladders, position structures, and competency models are pre-configured for better integration.
  • Security & Access: Assign the necessary security roles to users responsible for managing jobs, ensuring they have access to create and modify jobs in the system.
