      • Effective Date: Choose the date up to which you want to calculate the accruals. Typically, this is the end of the payroll period or month.
      • Payroll: Select the payroll or absence plan group for which you want to run the accruals.
      • Person/Assignment: You can leave this blank to calculate accruals for all employees or specify a particular employee/assignment if necessary.
      • Process Mode: Select Final if this is the final calculation, or Trial if you want to run a trial calculation before the final process.

      • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom.
      • For example, if you’re running this process for monthly accruals, select Monthly and specify the day of the month (e.g., the 1st or the last day of the month).
    • Define the Start Date and an optional End Date for when the process should begin and stop running.
  8. Submit the Process:

    • Once you’ve defined the schedule, click Submit.
    • Oracle Fusion will confirm that the process has been scheduled successfully, and you will see the scheduled process in the Scheduled Processes list.

    • The system will display whether the process is In Progress, Completed, or if there are any errors during the run.
  10. Review Results (Optional):

    • Once the process completes, review the Accrual Results to ensure that the accruals were calculated correctly.
    • Navigate to My Client Groups > Absences > Manage Absence Records to view the updated accrual balances for employees.

Key Considerations:

  • Accrual Frequency: Ensure that the frequency at which you schedule the process aligns with your organization’s accrual policy (e.g., monthly accruals for vacation leave).
  • Effective Date: Always choose the correct Effective Date to ensure that accruals are calculated for the appropriate period.
  • Monitoring: Regularly monitor scheduled processes for any failures or errors, especially during the initial scheduling phase.

Best Practices:

  • Trial Runs: If running this process for the first time or after a policy change, consider running it in Trial mode to ensure accuracy before finalizing the results.
  • Automate for Efficiency: Use the scheduling functionality to automate accrual calculations and reduce manual intervention, ensuring balances are consistently up-to-date.
  • Audit and Reporting: After accruals are calculated, consider running reports to audit the results and ensure compliance with absence policies.

By scheduling the Calculate Absence Accruals process, you can automate the periodic calculation of leave balances, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in managing employee absence plans.
