Enter Involuntary Deductions Child Support For An Employee

To enter an involuntary deduction for child support for an employee in Oracle HCM, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Person Management:

  • Go to the Home page.
  • Select Person Management under My Workforce.

2. Search for the Employee:

  • Enter the employee’s name or number in the search bar.
  • Click Search and select the employee from the search results.

3. Manage Element Entries:

  • From the employee’s profile, click on Manage Element Entries under Actions.

4. Add Involuntary Deduction:

  • On the Element Entries page, click Add to create a new element entry.
  • Search for the Child Support Deduction element (the exact name may vary based on your setup, but it will typically relate to involuntary deductions).
  • Select the relevant deduction element for child support.

5. Enter Deduction Details:

  • In the Element Entry form, fill in the required details, including:
    • Effective Date: The date when the child support deduction should begin.
    • Input Values: Enter the specific deduction amount, percentage, or any other necessary information as required by the child support order.
    • Frequency: Ensure the frequency (e.g., monthly, bi-weekly) is set according to the deduction order.

6. Additional Information:

  • Depending on your organization’s configuration, you may need to enter additional details, such as:
    • Court Order Number.
    • Start Date and End Date (if applicable).
    • Agency or Payee details.

7. Save:

  • After entering all required information, click Save and then Close to finalize the entry.
