Goal Management- Edit a Goal

To edit a goal in Oracle Cloud Goal Management, follow these steps. Editing a goal allows you to adjust the goal’s details, such as the name, description, due date, or weight, to reflect updated objectives or performance expectations.

Steps to Edit a Goal:

1. Log in to Oracle Cloud

  • Use your credentials to log in to Oracle Cloud.

2. Navigate to Goal Management

  • From the Navigator menu, go to My Client Groups and select “Goal Management” or “Goals”.
  • Alternatively, search for “My Goals” if you are an employee or “Manage Goals” if you are an administrator.

3. Access the Goal You Want to Edit

  • If you are editing your own goal, select My Goals.
  • If you are an administrator, select Manage Goals, then search for the employee or team whose goal you need to edit.
  • Locate the goal you want to modify from the list of active or assigned goals.

4. Open the Goal

  • Click on the goal name to open its details.
  • This will take you to the goal’s overview page, where you can see all the current information, such as the name, description, weight, and deadlines.

5. Click Edit

  • On the goal details page, look for the Edit button (usually found in the top-right corner or in the action menu).
  • Clicking on Edit will allow you to modify the goal’s fields.

6. Modify Goal Details

  • Update the following fields as needed:
    • Goal Name: Change the title or name of the goal.
    • Description: Update the goal description to reflect new objectives or expectations.
    • Weight: Adjust the weight if the goal’s importance has changed relative to other goals.
    • Target Completion Date: Modify the deadline if the goal’s timeline has changed.
    • Milestones or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Update progress tracking metrics or milestones to align with new expectations.

7. Save the Changes

  • Once you have made all the necessary edits, click Save or Submit to apply the changes.
  • The goal will be updated in the system, and these changes will be reflected in any reports or progress tracking.

8. Communicate Changes (Optional)

  • If the goal is shared with others, such as a manager or team members, you may want to notify them of the changes. This can be done through a notification or message.

9. Review the Updated Goal

  • After saving, review the goal in your list to ensure that all edits have been applied correctly.
