Restore Performance Documents

Some completed performance documents may have been canceled in error or due to some administrative reasons. HR specialists and managers can restore such canceled performance documents to Completed status.

This table shows how HR specialists and managers can restore canceled performance documents.

Who How
HR specialists

  1. Go to My Client Groups > Performance > Performance Documents.

  2. Search for and select the canceled performance documents that you want to restore.

  3. From the Actions menu, select Restore.

  4. Optionally, choose a reason for the restore.

    Note: Organizations can add their own reasons to the default list by using the ORA_HRA_MASS_UPD_TASK_REASON profile option in the Performance Lookups task in the Setup and Maintenance work area.

  5. Click Submit.
Managers

  1. Go to My Team > Performance or the Performance tab on the employee’s person spotlight page.

  2. Select the appropriate review period.

  3. Filter for performance documents with status as Canceled.

  4. From the Actions menu of the performance document that you want to restore, select Restore.

Performance Documents You Can Restore

HR specialists and managers can restore performance documents that meet these conditions:

  • Current status of the document is Canceled.

  • Document status was Completed before the document was canceled.

HR specialists can search for performance documents and employees they have security access to, but not themselves or their own performance documents. HR specialists can select and restore multiple performance documents at one time.

Managers can restore canceled performance documents they manage.

Impact of Restoring a Performance Document

Here’s what happens after you restore a performance document:

  • The profile content, such as ratings and comments, that changed when the performance document was canceled is restored.

  • When the notifications listed in this table are enabled, employees and managers are notified.
