Updating Pay Date for Public Holidays

This job aid explains how to update the pay date in Oracle Payroll if the pay date falls on a public holiday.


Step 1: Log In

  • Access Oracle Cloud Applications with your credentials.
  • Navigate to My Client Groups tab.
  • Click on Show More.

Step 2: Find Payroll Definition

  • Use Ctrl + F to find Payroll Definition.
  • Click on Payroll Definition.

Step 3: Select Payroll

  • Identify the payroll for which you need to make the modification.
  • If multiple payrolls are impacted, repeat this process for each payroll.

Step 4: Update Pay Date

  • Click on the payroll name.
  • Go to the Time Periods tab.
  • Scroll down to identify the period for which you want to make the change (e.g., July 4, 2025).
  • Update the Payroll Run Date to July 3, 2025.
  • Update the Date Paid to July 3, 2025.
  • Click Submit.

Step 5: Verify Changes

  • Run a quick pay without making any date override to verify the changes.
  • The process date should show the new modified date of July 3.
  • Verify the same when running the payroll flow (e.g., the US simplified payroll flow or any custom flow).
  • The process date should reflect correctly based on the new edits without any overwrites.
